No Need For Sleep
No Need For Sleep: an exhibition of visual art by zine makers and the zines they produce, is an exhibition of original art and zines by artists from around the country. This exhibition celebrates these artists, their independent productions, and the do-it-yourself culture of zines.
These artists create work both inside and outside the art world, while practicing diverse approaches including printmaking, animation, public art, and drawing. Many are currently producing zines, while some long time zine makers are working on projects including books and collaborative animation dvd releases.
Please join us for a reception from 6-9pm Saturday, Oct. 21, 06. at the 6th Floor Art Space in Madison and from 6-11pm on Friday, November 17, 06 at the Cream City Collectives Gallery in Milwaukee. Both events are free and open to the public.

Each artist will display their recent zine and between two and five original art works. Many, if not all of the mentioned artists value keeping art accessible to a diverse audience. This exhibition features works ranging between $3 and $300+.
Madison, WI Exhibit Information:
The 6th Floor Art Space is located at 455 Park St. in the Humanities Building of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This one day exhibition will occur during the Madison Zine Fest, with a reception from 6-9pm the night of the fest, Saturday, October 21, 2006.
