Herr Seagull and His Global Dustbreath was the last big event before leaving to start my artist in residence/teaching position at the Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan Ireland. Belgian artist Kati Heck and I took over three empty spaces in the Grand Avenue, Milwaukee’s failing downtown mall. It was a marathon of a month and we were lucky to have a ton of help from friends including the Parachute Project (Makeal Flammini, Jes Myska-Lewis, and Ella Dwyer), Gregory Brems, Zach Matthes, Paul Kjelland, Nick Matthes, Adam McKee, and more. The Parachute Project (who organized the exhibition) has a great blog documenting the project.
